As Colorado and Wyoming combat sports fans get ready to close out the year, it's time to look back at some of the biggest winners and losers in both Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts from 2011.

There's many more that could be included but everyone should be able to agree on the ones listed.

Ed Herman Added To UFC 143

It was announced yesterday that Colorado's Ed Herman is set to face Clifford Starks Super Bowl weekend at UFC 143.

Herman has had to dig down deep to fight his way back to the octagon after being out of action  for nearly two years due to injury. Since returning, he has posted wins over Tim Credeur and Kyle Noke at UFC Live and the TUF 13 final respectively.

Dana White Gives Ludwig KO Record

Looks like Duane Ludwig's pressure on the UFC to give him the fastest KO record has paid off.

Partially.

Dana White announced yesterday that Duane "Bang" Ludwig is now the unofficial record holder of the UFC's fastest KO.

Boxing Top 10 Pound For Pound

After Mayweather vs. Ortiz and Pacman vs. Marquez, Floyd Mayweather Jr. has moved into the top spot in most 'pound for pound' lists including this compilation from Yahoo Sports.

Andre Ward also moved from 6th on post polls to 5th after his big win in Showtimes 'Super Six' tournament.

Mayweather vs. Pacman In Jeopardy?

It just might not be meant to be.

In spite of recent news that the Mayweather and Pacquiao camps had been working on a deal to get what would be the biggest fight in history done, it looks like it could once again be in jeopardy.
