Cotto ended up stopping bitter rival Antonio Margarito in the 9th with Bisping finishing Jason Miller in the third.
In the post-fight news conference, Cotto pulled no punches as he talked about the well documented "wraps" controversy.
“I’m not going to say anything about the last fight and this one, but my face now is a lot different,” Cotto said.
And he didn't stop there.
“He’s still a very strong fighter, but I’m way better than he is. I’m very happy and very proud of what I did tonight. There was a lot of hard work in this training camp. It showed that the strategy worked.”
The bitter feelings even spilled over to the family members.
“His (Cotto) mom came up to me and asked if he hits like a girl,” Margarito said. “I said, ‘Yeah, because the punches didn’t hurt me.’ The swelling got worse and worse and that’s the reason it was stopped.”
In the night's other fight, this one in the UFC, Jason Miller really never got anything going through almost full three rounds. Although he normally is more outspoken win or lose, you could tell he knew he was not the better fighter on this night.

"He's a tough guy," Miller said. "To finish him, I knew I needed a big work output. He's tough.
"I trained really hard for this fight. I'm sorry guys I got tired. I can't make any excuses about it. For all the boos Michael Bisping gets, as a fighter, he deserves your cheers."
