Herman has had to dig down deep to fight his way back to the octagon after being out of action for nearly two years due to injury. Since returning, he has posted wins over Tim Credeur and Kyle Noke at UFC Live and the TUF 13 final respectively.
His opponent in Clifford Starks quickly rose through the Rage In The Cage promotion before making his UFC debut in October at UFC 137, where he won versus Dustin Jacoby also in his debut.
