Dana White Gives Ludwig KO Record

Looks like Duane Ludwig's pressure on the UFC to give him the fastest KO record has paid off.

Partially.

Dana White announced yesterday that Duane "Bang" Ludwig is now the unofficial record holder of the UFC's fastest KO.

Unfortunately, the Nevada State Athletic Commision isn't going to make a change on their own records.

"The ruling is that it stays at 11," NSAC Executive Director Keith Kizer today told MMAJunkie.com. "There's no legal avenue to overturn it."

Dana White didn't mince any words when sharing his thoughts on the NSAC not making the official change.

"It's funny. The state athletic commissions are in place to look out for the fighters, but it seems like I'm always the one making sure they don't get [expletive]."

White went on to breakdown how he saw it play out that night at 'UFC Fight 3'.

"If you use a stopwatch, from the time the fight starts to the time that Mario grabs Duane, it's about 7.9 seconds," he said. "Why the official timekeeper had it at 11, I don't know. But it wasn't 11, and it wasn't four, either."

Congrats to "Bang" for at least having the UFC recognize the feat, unofficial or not.
