DENVER (March 7, 2016) – Wednesday, March 9, 2016, Delgado’s Boxing will hold a media workout with Mike Alvarado (34-4-0)as he prepares for his next fight on March 19 against Saul Corral (19-6-0) from Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico, at the Aerial Theater, Houston, Texas.
Media workout will also showcase amateur standout Misael Lopez, who is making his professional debut on March 19, here in Denver.
The media workout is advance of Alvarado’s return to the ring in his mission to reclaim a world title.
Alvarado (34-4, 23 KO’s), of Denver, Colorado, a former welterweight world titlist, is seeking redemption and hopes to return to the stellar spot he once occupied in the boxing world, after a few stumbles inside and outside the ring, being the most recent one – a dominant technical knockout loss against Brandon ‘Bam Bam’ Rios – on January of 2015. Alvarado, who has been in multiple ‘Fight of the Year’ candidates, will try to bounce back and give the first step in the right direction on the fight that will start the March 19 UniMas telecast.
Lopez, a highly talented and decorated Denver amateur boxer will make the move into the professional rankings on March 19 at the Grizzly Rose, 5460 N. Valley Highway, Denver, Colorado.
Lopez will meet Terry Taylor from Albuquerque, NM, also making his professional debut in a super featherweight (130 lbs.) contest.
Media workout to include sparring, one-on-one interviews
The media workout begins at 3 PM MST.
