Tito Ortiz Set To Retire At UFC 148 - MMA News

Love him or hate him, fans have to admit that 'The Huntington Beach Bad Boy' has brought many memorable moments to the sport.

Some in the octagon, some outside of it.

At this point though, Tito Ortiz is ready to make UFC 148 appearance versus Forrest Griffin his last time in the cage.

"I just turned 37 years old. I've been in the game for 15 years and competing only with the UFC. I know it's time for me to kind of hang 'em up."

The fight will put a cap on a trilogy that was actually pretty entertaining for the fans, with their first meeting at UFC 59 getting 'Fight Of The Year'.

"We have a history. I won the first won, they gave Forrest the second one, and fans want to see the third one.

"I think Forrest deserves it, man. I really like Forrest. I think he's a tough guy. We'd put on a great match."

And in spite of a rocky finish to his career, Ortiz always tried to bring it for the fans.

"Fans love big fights, and we both put them on again and again."
