On Saturday night, boxing fans who tuned into Salido vs. Lopez II were witness to a thriller as Salido went on to stop Juan Manuel Lopez for the second time.
After the controversial ending to the first fight, Salido left no doubt as he KO'd Lopez in the 10th round.
The rematch was similar to their first meeting in that the crowd spent much of the bout on their feet.
Salido expected a war and he was right.
"We knew it would be a tough fight, he is a tough fighter. It was punch for punch in the ninth round.
"I knew this guy was a warrior, so I had three more rounds in the bank in case he got up from the 10th-round knockdown. This is a classic fight. It always is between Mexico and Puerto Rico. It was my turn to win."
The second victory over Lopez brands Salido as an top-tier featherweight and makes the 16-year veteran a hotter commodity.
