2011 Fan Boxing Awards

'The Ring's 2011 fan awards were announced recently without too many surprises on the results.

Andre Ward received 'Fighter Of The Year' honors after his breakout 2011. A year that saw him take  the recent finals of the 'Super Six' tournament versus Carl Froch.

Ward moved up to the #5 spot on the pound for pound world rankings after the big win.

'Fight Of The Year' was awarded to Victor Ortiz and Andre Berto for their thrilling back and forth slugfest in April. Ortiz came out on top of a razor close unanimous decision which setup Ortiz vs. Mayweather Jr.

With many good comebacks to choose from in 2011, fans opted to award the 35 year old Erik Morales with the honor for his gutsy win over Marcos Maidana April 9th.

After back to back loses most everyone counted Morales out, giving him no shot of even being able to avoid serious injury. Instead, he shocked the world, making history in the process.

Rounding out the more poplular annual awards from 'The Ring'  magazine,  Nonito Donaire took home 'Knockout Of The Year' for his second round TKO of Fernando Montiel. This award wasn't even close for second place as the fans made there opinion loud and clear.

Who's going to be on this list in 2012?
