The win came at the expense of Cody Griffin (5-3) and launches the heavy handed Martinez into the finals of the event.
Martinez was a huge favorite coming into the fight and showed fans why with another dominant performance on his fight resume.
Although the win was not in the usual Martinez fashion, it was at the least an impressive display of his standup skills as he out-pointed his counterpart.
Instead of the usual brutal KO or TKO, the bout ended up a unanimous judges decision for Martinez.
And a spot in the promotions upcoming finals.
