Top 3 Moments From UFC 142

As the dust settles in Brazil from the shocking results of UFC 142, it's time to take a look at three memorable fight moments from the historic event.

Feel free to comment about which ones you think should be on the list or which one you thought was the best.

1.) Vitor Belfort's RNC Finish Of Johnson - After missing weight again, even after moving up a class, the visibly gassed Anthony Johnson succumbed to the relentless pace set by Vitor Belfort after he sunk a fight ending RNC. After the poor showing in addition to the 3rd strike against him due to not making weight, it is no surprise that boss man Dana White made the decision to put Johnson out to pasture.

2.) Palhares Has The Best Heel Hooks In The UFC - If you didn't know already, you do now. You don't want Rousimar Palhares getting clamped down on any of your limbs, especially your foot. The normally confused Palhares got his 3rd consecutive win inside the octagon, his 7th in the UFC, and 14th overall. If he can keep his wits about him inside the cage unlike some cases in the past, he will be in line for a title shot some time in 2012. So who is the best heel hooker, hall of famer Ken Shamrock or the current master of them in Palhares?

3.) Edson Barboza's Spinning Heel Kick KO  - When Edson Barboza dropped Terry Etim via spinning heel kick at the 2:02 mark of round 3, he guaranteed the win would be etched in history. His 10-0 record is still intact after the fight, pushing him to 4-0 in the octagon. Throw in wins over Anthony Njokuani and Ross Pearson and you have all the reasons you need to follow Barboza as he continues to surge into 2012. This was also the 3rd 'Fight Of The Night' honor row for Barboza. Is Barboza the most underrated fighter in the ranks currently?

Up next for the UFC is the historical 'UFC On FX 1' broadcast coming up on January 20th. Check back here after the event for full results and breakdown.
