Hopkins vs. Dawson II Set For April

The second chapter in the Bernard Hopkins vs Chad Dawson saga continues on April 28th live from Atlantic City.

Hopkins will defend his World Boxing Council light-heavyweight crown against Dawson in a rematch of a fight last October in Los Angeles that ended in round two when lifted Hopkins by the leg and slammed him into the canvas.

Referee Pat Russell awarded the fight to Dawson, saying no foul had been committed, but the result was overturned to no-decision at a December hearing and the WBC ordered a title rematch.

Hopkins suffered a dislocated joint connecting his left shoulder and collarbone and has yet to resume full training.
