Taking a back seat to some of the other recent fight news was the announcement of the Pat Curran vs. Joe Warren fight as the headliner of Bellator 61.
This is one of those matchups that should be a "must see" for hardcore MMA fans.
The arrogant but effective Joe Warren comes into the fight after getting dropped in shocking fashion by Alexis Vila back in September, derailing his attempt to add the 135lb strap to his collection.
Across the cage is one of the top young talents out there in the surging Pat Curran, the underdog winner of Bellator's season-two lightweight tournament and eventual loser to Eddie Alvarez in a title fight.
Curran earned his current shot at Warren after dominating the "Summer Series" featherweight tournament that ran over the course of 2011.
The contest is set to take place March 9th from 'The Venue' at Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Ind.
