It was announced yesterday by MMAJunkie.com that Colorado's Duane "Bang" Ludwig will be facing the desperate Dan "The Outlaw" Hardy.
The showdown is set to be part of the UFC 146 card on May 26th that features Overeem vs. Dos Santos as the main-event.
Ludwig will be looking for his second consecutive win after suffering a tough submission loss to Josh Neer on the last 'UFC On FX' card.
After looking good on his feet, Ludwig got caught in a slick guillotine that ended the fight. Prior to the loss Ludwig had been on a memorable comeback after breaking his ankle at the first 'UFC Live' event.
As for Hardy, he will soon go from "The Outlaw" to out of a job if he drops this fight.
At least as far as the UFC is concerned.
Hardy's UFC tenure has already been on life support for some time now as he is currently on a four fight losing streak. And we know that two losses in a row usually results in walking papers from Dana White.
Ludwig is not exactly in the same absolutley "must win" scenario as Hardy but a win would go a long ways in providing some job security for the Colorado resident.
