The win is Herman's 3rd in a row since coming back from a knee injury sustained at UFC 102 against Aaron Simpson.
It's been a long road for Herman and you could tell as he spoke with MMAJunkie.com after the fight.
"I just enjoyed being here, the whole week here. The nerves were less."
I'm just pumped to be here and fighting again and having a second chance in my career," Herman said.
After weathering the early right of Starks, Herman was able to get to the mat to secure the fighting ending rear-naked choke.
