Coming out of his usual pre-fight press conference shell, Silva unloaded on Sonnen via media call for his UFC 148 rematch with Sonnen earlier this week.
"Chael Sonnen is going to get his ass kicked like he’s never gotten his ass kicked before. What I’m going to do inside the octagon is something that is going to change the image of the sport."
Change the image of MMA?
And the future hall-of-famer didn't stop there.
"I’m going to beat his ass like he’s never been beaten before. I’m going to make sure that every one of his teeth are broken, his arms are broken, his legs are broken. He’s going to not be able to walk out of the octagon by himself.
"I can guarantee that."
Have we ever seen a pissed off Anderson Silva before? Definitely a motivated Silva, but a Silva that ever truly wanted to exact revenge?
Dana White made clear how he views the marquee showdown set for July 7th.
"This isn’t one of the biggest sporting events of the summer – it’s one of the biggest sporting events of the year. Anderson Silva is a very big star, and this is a fight that people care about and want to see all over the world.
"Very few people would dispute, not only is he the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world, but probably the best mixed martial artist ever."
