3 Reasons To Attend 'Warriors Conquest'

As Colorado boxing fans get ready for 'Warriors Conquest' Saturday night, here are 3 good reasons why you don't want to miss this one.

1.) It's Boxing In It's Purest Form - Boxing has taken it's own share of abuse from the fans as interest has dropped over the years. This is due to things like promoters being unable to put on the biggest fights possible like the UFC. For those that are true fans of "The Sweet Science", it doesn't get any purer than the smaller shows across the state where the boxers are still fighting for the love of the sport.

2.) Raul Carrillo vs. Josh Torres - Although every bout on the card is going to be a great matchup showcasing some of the best fighters from both Colorado and New Mexico, it's the main-event that fans can't wait for. Colorado's Raul 'El Chino' Carrillo (9-1, 6 KOs) will be facing off against New Mexico's top boxer in 'Pitbull' Torres (7-1-1, 4KOs). Both fighters have entertaining styles so it should amount to nothing short of fireworks. CO vs. New Mexico has always been a good border rivalry when it comes to boxing, adding to the hype of the highly anticipated event.

3.) To Support Colorado Boxing - This is the most important one on the list as Colorado's boxing community continues to strive to bring the fans back after taking a back seat to MMA over the last few years. The sport in general is starting to take some steps in the right direction so hopefully that will carry over to the state level at some point in the future. For anybody that follows boxing and calls themselves a true fan, there's no reason not to get out and start supporting the some of the local promotions, shows, and boxers that represent the state.
