Colorado's Chris Camozzi (17-5 MMA, 4-2 UFC) scored a huge "comeback" win last night as part of the 'UFC On FX 4' event.
The win came at the expense of Nick Catone (9-3 MMA, 3-3 UFC) who was likely up two rounds to none before Camozzi opened up a nasty cut on Catone.
Catone had come into the fight riding a two fight win streak while Camozzi was trying to string two wins together for the first time since 2010.
Catone was the quicker starter of the two as he was able to put Camozzi on the mat early, but Camozzi managed to find his range on his shorter opponent as he started landing some shots.
At the beginning of the third, Camozzi was able to land a lunging knee, eventually stopping the fight on the advice from the Doctor due to a cut suffered by Catone.
Seems there weren't very many Colorado fans in attendance for Camozzi's big win.
"I don't mind you guys booing me. That's what makes the sport exciting. Love me or hate me, the fighters, we still come to fight for you.
"And Dana and Joe Silva, if you need somebody in Denver (at UFC 150 on Aug. 11), I'm your man."
Stay tuned for word on Camozzi's next opponent or even possibly getting the nod for 'UFC 150' in Denver.
