It looks like fans finally have a date when Colorado's Nathan Marquardt (31-10-2 MMA, 0-0 SF) will get back in the cage.
'The Great' is tentatively set to face Tyron Woodley (10-0 MMA, 8-0 SF) July 14th under the 'Strikeforce' banner.
Multiple outlets reported the event would be taking place in Portland, Oregon or Indianapolis.
Marquardt was cut from the UFC after he was unable to gain medical clearance for the Rick Story fight for 'UFC on Versus 4'.
The Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission wouldn't clear Marquardt when pre-fight blood tests showed that his testosterone levels were outside the commission's allowable limits.
He later revealed the failed results were the result of doctor guided testosterone replacement therapy program.
Woodley is still undefeated as a professional and has notable wins over Paul Daley and Andre Galvao.
Stay tuned as details continue to emerge on this event.
