Ludwig vs. Hardy Betting Odds

Colorado's Duane 'Bang' Ludwig will be taking on Dan 'The Outlaw' Hardy Saturday night at UFC 146 in what should be nothing short of fireworks.

For Hardy, it's pretty much do or die after four straight losses in the sports biggest promotion.

Across the cage, 'Bang' Ludwig is in a little better position having won 2 of his last 3 fights.

Vegas has Hardy as the small favorite believe it or not at a (-)130 with Ludwig playing the role of the underdog at a (+)100.

For those new to betting on MMA, this is known as the money line.

The favorite is always represented with a (-) and the underdog a (+).

Before we get to the Ludwig vs. Hardy numbers, here's a few MMA betting basics.

The number one rule you must abide by to be successful is never wagering more than 3-5% of your total bankroll you are working with. For example, if your bankroll is currently $100, you wouldn't want to risk more than $5.

The logic behind this all comes down to odds, numbers, and statistics.

If you only risk the 3-5% each time, this will grow your bankroll slower but the small amount risked will help cancel out or compensate the losses you will incure. This will give you the best chance at building your earnings incrementally over time.

Better than the stock market if done right.

As for the Ludwig (+)100 vs. Hardy (-)130 numbers, I really like Ludwig as the underdog of the night pick. For every $1 wagered on 'Bang', your return would be $1. On the flip-side, for Hardy you would have to risk $1.30 to win $1.

I like my chances of risking 3% of my bankroll to double my money on Ludwig over the return of a Hardy win.
