Zingano recently signed with the promotion in order to face Nunes after already being penciled in to face Leslie Smith at the upcoming 'Invicta FC 3'.
The fight will be part of the 'Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Healy' card on September 29th.
Zingano has yet to be tagged with a loss in addition to holding many belts at 125lbs, 130lbs, and 135lbs.
The Colorado native's last trip to the cage resulted in a third-round KO victory over Takayo Hashi back in May of 2011.
She has been inactive since, battling various injuries and will now move back up to 135 pounds after a sucessful stint in the flyweight division.
Nunes recently made her 'Invicta FC' debut on the promotion's second card and submitted late replacement Raquel "Rocky" Pa'aluhie.
