It was reported that Colorado's Shane Carwin hurt his knee in wrestling practice recently but is still planning on facing Roy Nelson at the 'TUF 16' finale December 15th.
There were no reports of any tears or other structural damage.
The injury will keep him from traveling to England for an appearance as planned though.
Here is Carwin's official statement from his Twitter account:
“ATTN UK Fans: I hurt my knee training and I will not be able to make the signing with the amazing people @FearlessUK.”
Carwin hasn't been in the octagon since a June 2011 loss to Junior dos Santos at UFC 131.
Following that fight, he underwent neck surgery that put him out of action and into recovery for more than a year.
Stay tuned as more updates become available.
